During The Game Awards 2023, developer Archetype Entertainment has unveiled its first title, Exodus, through a trailer presented by award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey. The trailer, which you can check out below, shows off the game’s main story, as well as some gameplay.
Exodus seems to be a third-person action game, as evidenced by the second half of the trailer. The game seems to feature a mix of both exploration as well as action, and will have the character use traditional weapons along with what appear to be strange powers. The gameplay in the trailer is showcased with the song Supermassive Blackhole by Muse playing in the background.
Archetype Entertainment is a relatively young studio. It was founded back in 2019, and is made up of veterans of the gaming industry that have previously worked at BioWare and other AAA studios. Exodus is likely the game for which Archetype Entertainment announced a partnership with CG studio Blur Studios.
Exodus is coming to PC, pS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It doesn’t yet have a release date.
