RoboCop: Rogue City is quietly one of the most anticipated shooters of 2023. Its premise is simple: take the beloved 1980s satire of capitalism and law enforcement and turn it into a first-person shooter. And if this gameplay is any indication, it kind of whips.
In the video below you can find 16 minutes of RoboCop: Rogue City featuring all of the elements you'd expect from the classic Paul Verhoeven flick, including a gaggle of ED-209s and lots more. Check it out!
RoboCop: Rogue City was announced back in 2022 and held a closed beta test earlier this year. It's being developed by Teyon, the Polish studio responsible for Terminator: Resistance, and is part of the first big wave of Unreal Engine 5 games.
We admittedly weren't the biggest fans of Terminator: Resistance, panning it in our review and describing it as "forgettable." We'll see whether RoboCop: Rogue City fares any better when it releases on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC in September.
In the meantime, there's plenty more Gamescom coverage where that came from. Check out our roundup of everything announced at Opening Night Live and more as the show continues.
