's Adoring Fan was a fun addition to the Settled Systems, being a call back to past Bethesda titles, but aside from the novelty of having someone nearby who will boost players' egos at any given opportunity — which can be nice after getting defeated in battle — the character was fairly useless. The Adoring Fan could be unlocked through the "" Trait, which meant players would get an additional crew member extremely early into the game, but considering how there would soon be other options for companions and crew members who were more useful in combat, the odds are that the Adoring Fan would soon be sent to manage an outpost somewhere.
SushiSquid's mod "" -which can be downloaded through Bethesda Creations for both PC and Xbox — changes this, making the Adoring Fan far more useful in other areas of the game. The main way it does this is by adding ranked skills that are more in line with the companions from Constellation, increasing areas to make him more of an all-rounder in terms of gameplay.
Starfield’s Hero Worshipped Trait brings back an Oblivion favorite. The Adoring Fan may seem like a harmless joke at first, but has his downsides.
The new skills added by SushiSquid seem to make the Adoring Fan more of an asset in regard to 's ship mechanics, as he adds 10% ship cargo capacity, boosts ship speed, and adds engine power. He even has a custom Targeting Controls Systems skill at level 4, which adds 15% targeting mode cost reduction, 15% damage, and 15% recharge to all ship weapons, making the Adoring Fan an asset when it comes to space combat.
