Several MonsterVerse Titans have a chance of appearing in Apple TV+’s Godzilla show. Confirmed to be in development as an exclusive for Apple’s streaming service, an untitled Godzilla TV series will further expand Legendary’s MonsterVerse. But unlike Netflix’s Skull Island anime, Apple TV+’s Godzilla show will be a live-action addition to its world.
After Godzilla vs. Kong, it was hard to say what future the MonsterVerse would have (or if there would be one at all). Its box office performance was overall a good sign, but Legendary not announcing any more movies in the months that followed was a major cause for concern. And while there still hasn’t been any word of Godzilla 3 or Kong 2 being added to the slate, Apple TV+’s Godzilla plans confirm that Legendary isn’t done with live-action MonsterVerse projects just yet. The streaming platform’s Godzilla show will be set within MonsterVerse canon.

Details released about the upcoming small-screen installment in Legendary’s MonsterVerse provide hints about which Titans have the potential to make appearances. An official synopsis mentioned that it will follow Godzilla’s battle in San Francisco, which implies that the show will take place between the events of 2014’sGodzilla and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. That being the case seemingly removes three Titans from the equation. At this point in the MonsterVerse’s timeline, the third MUTO had not been discovered by Monarch, Ghidorah was on ice in Antarctica, and Mothra’s egg had been dormant for thousands of years.
