The Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore team has announced that they are planning for their next update this week, Part of their ongoing effort to revamp the game as it goes free to play and eventually relaunches.
Friday's update will add some skills for most classes and normalize stat and skills scaling for spells and abilities. There will also be some class specific changes, and most of the classes will get 25 and 30 level skills, but a few, including the Infuser, Earthguard, Ranger and Brawler (which is set to be reworked), will not get these as they are still in development. If you're playing any of the other classes, you will find the new skills.
Those are the general class balance changes, but the patch includes other new additions. There are seven new monster types, new tier 1-7 alchemy recipes, and new rare loot table items from 25-27 and 28-30. There are new cloth and leather armor sets, and new Thistlebrook quests.
Given the decision to part ways with former publisher, Freedom Games, and to develop Ethyrial independently, the team has continued to work on updates as promised. One of their key team members, Robin, has been away from the team for personal reasons, but has trained some of the other devs to do some of the needed backend work to make some more changes possible in his absence.
Although work might be a little slower, the team is still working to make the promised server merges, free to play transition, and ongoing patches. The process is clearly a large turn and the Gellyberry team does seem to be working from a place of transparency after this huge change was announced. After the rough launch,double charges, and subsequent stability issues, this new path is aiming for a new start.
