Tower of Fantasy Celebrates First Anniversary, Adding New Content to Explore in Midsummer Merriment Update
Tower of Fantasy’s next update, Midsummer Merriment, will arrive on August 8th. Not only does the update add new content, and new simulacrum Ming Jing, it features first anniversary celebrations.
The update is version 3.1, and brings new maps, a new storyline, and a new simulacrum, Ming Jing. Ming Jing is also seen in the first anniversary update trailer, wandering and seeing festivities being set up. He is the latest Domain 9 simulacrum, introduced as having no memory since he was pulled into Domain 9 via mysterious spacetime disturbances, regarded as the first outsider to enter there.
He arrives after having taken up training with his greatsword, Onyx Tortoise, and gaining the respect and admiration of Master Yue. Master Yue’s title, Lord Xuanwu, passed to Ming Jing, and so he is a significant character to have on your side, fighting the Darkness.
A new section in Ignisville, Cloudpeak Manor, is coming in the update. The manor was once a special place, active and well-known, but the Darkness took over. Now, it is filled with new creatures to discover, blended ones, like the Cyox, which is like a cow, and the Crystalline Darkness. You will get to explore the new zone, finding new creatures and useful things, but there's also a brand new enemy to face: the Black Crow Dark Wretch.
When Cloudpeak Manor was a bustling and bright place, this was the Golden Crow. But the Darkness changes things. Facing the Black Crow, with its bone armor and three bird heads, will be a challenge, since you'll have to avoid attacks by the separate heads and the crow too.
