Epic Mickey Rebrushed Looks Magical, Has Gyro Controls on PS5, PS4 | Push Square
Epic Mickey was a highly anticipated title on Nintendo Wii, but it could never quite live up to its pre-release concept art. Incredibly, it’s been almost 15 years since the title first debuted, however, and thus there’s been ample time for nostalgia to build around this classic platformer. It feels like the right time for Epic Mickey Rebrushed on PS5 and PS4, then.
In addition to completely revamped visuals, this game will also feature gyro controls on Sony’s systems, repurposing the motion controls from the original release. There’ll also be a Photo Mode, allowing you to capture the stunning scenery from the release. Honestly, we’re rather looking forward to revisiting this one, removed from the original’s unattainable hype.
It’s the latest in a long line of titles to offer Early Access for those who pre-order, so you can play 24 hours early if you cough up now. In addition, there’ll be a trio of additional outfits available, including Steamboat Willie and Football Mickey. How are you feeling about this remaster? I was gonna get this for Switch but it's the PS5 version for me now.
Man i need this. Loved the original, such strong memories of it at the time and I wasn’t online enough back then to care about hype or anything.

Even though it was quite a bit tamer than the concept art, Epic Mickey was one of the ballsiest thing anyone has done with the Disney license. Too many games at the moment to grab the remaster at launch but I’ll be grabbing it on sale.
