Your Astro's Playroom Progress Will Transfer to Astro Bot on PS5 | Push Square

Have you found all four Special Bots in Astro’s Playroom yet? They’re all available now, and if you’re stuck, we reveal all Special Bots locations in our guide. There’s not just Trophies and some fun gameplay up for grabs here either: your progress will actually transition to the upcoming Astro Bot game on PS5.

Four the players

Nicolas Doucet, the head of Team Asobi, explained on the PS Blog: “Once rescued, you will be able to take these bots to the new game and add them to your starting crew. And in the last few hours preceding the release of Astro Bot, we will hold a special celebration countdown inside Astro’s Playroom. Please come and check it out.”

There are a total of 300 bots to find in the new game, around half of which are cameos from various PlayStation games. What’s cool is that, as confirmed in the launch trailer, these characters will have a larger role in the full release than just being references. “These little guys can combine to perform group actions that let you explore more of the hub planet,” Doucet said. “In the video, you can see a few of the PlayStation characters working together to make a running wall for Astro to get to higher places.”

Get those Special Bots collected now, then, so you’ve got a headstart once the game officially launches next week.

I know I finished the main game storyline on PS5 when we bought it, but I can't recall how much of anything else I did, not a big fan of time trials, challenges and the sort. Plus I bought the system w/ R & C so wanted to get to that as well.
