We’re getting a lot of retro compilations on PS5 and PS4 right now, but Bill & Ted’s Excellent Retro Collection may be one of the weirder ones. Featuring LJN’s critically maligned Bill & Ted's Excellent Video Game Adventure – originally released in 1991 on the NES – and its Game Boy counterpart, the home console version was eviscerated in reviews when it was new.
“It’s a bodacious, mind-boggling role-playing adventure,” the press release facetiously explains. “And your only chance to save the world and earn the respect you deserve. No way – yes way! A most excellent role-playing adventure!” Hm.
The package will set you back £8.99/$9.99, so it’s not exactly going to break the bank. While the games are of questionable quality, we can’t deny it’s cool seeing these 8-bit titles made more readily available for a modern audience.

Ljn… I remember they made some Marvel games back in the day. The Spider Man crossover X-Men game was awful.
