Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 is over seven years old at this point, but it just keeps getting bigger. With the PS5 version still set to release on the 24th May, Bandai Namco has revealed that a new series of DLC chapters will be dropping «soon». Titled the 'Future Saga', it'll be made up of four chapters, which, again, just seems nuts for a title that's been kicking for close to a decade.
It'll feature a new storyline, which seems to focus on immensely powerful Ultra Supervillains — existing characters who have been corrupted by dark energies. Putting a stop to them sounds like a good idea.
Here's the game's updated roadmap, by the way:
As we've previously reported, XenoVerse 2 continues to be an impressively popular game, attracting around 1 million players per month. That kind of stat definitely helps put this continued support in perspective.

Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, he's played 'em all — a little too much, some might say.
The game keeps a very consistent player base, and people actually buy the dlc.
I wouldn't mind getting back into the game and trying all of the DLC, since I haven't touched the game since release, but the combined cost of the DLC would cost quite a bit.
@Deadlyblack My plan is to check out the PS5 version and see whether it grabs me again (haven't really played it since I reviewed it all those years ago!).
If I'm having fun I'll consider buying the DLC.
This game will go on to rival One Piece at this rate.
@Deadlyblack On sale, you can get:
Special Edition (contains base game, Super Pack and Hero of Justice pack) $30
Extra Pack (2nd DLC wave, woth additional campaign) $15
