Dragon Age: The Veilguard will feature a ton of different armor options, and players will not be forced to sacrifice utility for looks, thanks to a "robust" transmog system.
As reported by Game Informer, the new entry in the series will feature tons of different armor options for both companions and the main character, Rook. Companions will have an armor slot, a ring slot, an accessory slot and a weapon slot, while the main character will also have a helmet slot, two weapon slots a belt, an amulet slot and two ring slots. Belts will play an important role, as they influence the potency of healing potions, and some of them can proc additional effects like invulnerability. The game will also feature plenty of bespoke gear that can only be equipped by certain companions or Rook's classes.
Thankfully, it seems like players won't be forced to equip gear in Dragon Age: The Veilguard they think does not look good. Game Director Corinne Busche confirmed the game will feature a robust transmog system that will allow players to apply the stats of a certain piece of gear to another with a different appearance. Both Rook and the companions' gear can be transmogrified as well, giving players the maximum amount of customization options for all their party members.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard launches later this year on PC, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
