With Minecraft arming players with the potential to build practically anything imaginable, one fan of the Doom games sets out to construct a replica of the Fortress of Doom using the many blocks available to them in the sandbox game. Fanmade crossover projects are nothing new when it comes to Minecraft, with fans of the game often taking advantage of its endless possibilities to build replicas of characters, items, and places from some of their favorite games.
Introduced in Doom Eternal, the most recent entry in the legendary FPS franchise, the Fortress of Doom serves as the Doom Slayer's home as well as the hub throughout the main campaign. As might be expected from a Doom game, the Fortress is a castle-like battle station that hangs in space, consisting mostly of rock and metal. The expansive fortress contains many chambers accessible with Sentinel Batteries which can be obtained in the game's levels, with each chamber offering different rewards and items that can help players achieve their maximum destructive potential. Some of these unlockable rooms offer certain cosmetic skins instead, including the Classic Marine skin which represents the very same gear that Doomguy was wearing back when the first Doom game released in 1993.

With the Fortress of Doom providing the ideal layout and design for an awesome base of operations, it was only a matter of time before a Minecraft build expert began work on recreating the location in the sandbox game.
