Doogee is making headlines, as it is tipped to feature MediaTek's new 6nm chip codenamed 'Next-G', one of the first smartphone brands to have it, GSMArena reported. More specifically, if we believe the rumours, then the company's next smartphone Doogee S98 series will be the fist one to be powered by this new MediaTek 6nm chip. The smartphone S98 series is expected to be launched in three variants - Doogee S98, and its Pro and Ultra versions. Main highlighted renders suggest that it will carry a secondary display at the back and night vision camera lenses. The Doogee S98, the 6.3-inch LCD display is expected to launch with Helio G96 SoC processor and Android 12, while having 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. The report mentions that it might have an option to expand memory up to 512GB via microSD card. While for the power, it will pack a 6,000 mAh battery with 33W wired and 15W wireless charging support. It will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor but told to skip the 3.5mm headphone jack.
The most interesting render of the report is the secondary screen display at the back, which will be in circular shape supporting the custom wallpapers and tiny screen to work as viewfinder while taking selfies with the rear camera. Though, the smartphone will feature a dedicated 16MP selfie camera in front with a water drop notch design. At the back, the Doogee S98 is expected to feature a triple-camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary lens coupled with an 8MP ultrawide and 20MP night vision camera.
