The Survivor 42 premiere is slated for March 9 and it's time to share information about one of the new castaways, Maryanne Oketch. This latest installment of CBS's long-running reality competition is said to be the most diverse in the show's history. Maryanne adds to this diversity with her own unique background. The self-professed gamer believes that her resilience and perseverance will make her this season's Sole Survivor.
According to her CBS bio, Maryanne is a person with high energy, who has empathy and enjoys stirring up a little chaos. She is not a fan of slow-walkers, hypocrites, and people who refuse to say that they are sorry. Her hero is her mother, a Kenyan who overcame poverty and became a successful doctor. Her biggest pet peeve is anything that stops her from getting a good nights' sleep. There is plenty more that Survivor fans can learn about Maryanne.
