A piece of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness fan art imagines an Illuminati team including Professor X and Captain Carter. The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film sees director Sam Raimi return to the superhero genre after making his Spider-Man trilogy in the 2000s, taking over the Doctor Strange franchise from Scott Derrickson. After some release-schedule shuffling by Disney, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit theaters on May 6.

One of these theories, supported by the recently released Doctor Strange 2 trailer, is that Feige & Co. will introduce a version of the Illuminati, a secret society made up of some of Marvel's most powerful superheroes.
