The interests of this council – and the surprise cameo from Professor X – indicate that the long-circulating rumors about the Illuminati joining the MCU are true. In the comics, they were a group of Marvel’s biggest leaders and most brilliant minds. They came together in secret to make decisions related to the planet’s safety and future.
