Already appearing in three Marvel Studios projects, Brie Larson's Carol Danvers looks to continue soaring high throughout the MCU's phase four, including in her next solo outing, The Marvels. Roughly a year away, Larson is already beginning to share her excitement for the highly-anticipated sequel.
Looking to build on the success of its predecessor, The Marvels will be directed this time by Nia DaCosta (Little Woods,Candyman). While details remain scarce, the film appears to move out of its 1990s setting and into the present day, as characters like Monica Rambeau from WandaVision and Kamala Khan (the new shape-shifting hero who idolizes Danvers and who will be making her MCU debut) are set to be some of main focuses of the film. Khan's character is set to have her own series for Disney Plus titled Ms. Marvel, which will serve as a set-up for The Marvels.

While it's still unclear where Captain Marvel and even the rest of the MCU will lead to, Larson has shared enthusiasm for continuing to play the comic book hero, adding the thrill she gets from donning the suit. «The novelty is not even close to wearing off.
