We've datamined the return of Dinar in Dragonflight Season 4! Used to deterministically purchase just a couple pieces of rare or important pieces of raid loot like trinkets and cantrip weapons, Dinar were added in Season 4 as a form of bad luck protection within the accelerated season of rotating raid content that wouldn't necessarily give players as many chances to earn those crucial items.
Though we don't yet have any details on how the currency will be acquired just yet, it's safe to bet that they will be earned through a weekly quest to defeat bosses, similar to Shadowlands. Interestingly, the string also indicates a cap of one as opposed to three in Shadowlands, although it is unclear if that is a reduction of the total number that players will earn or a temporary cap that increments over time.
Game Director Ion Hazzikostas previously confirmed that the deterministic system would return in Dragonflight, though also shared that the popular system was a little too generous to include across all seasons/raids within the game.
