What is a Season in Diablo 4?
Like in other aRPGs, Seasons in Diablo 4 will be an opportunity for players to start on a level playing field with fresh Seasonal characters, starting at level 1. Seasons will also introduce players to new gameplay features, seasonal mechanics, and provide class balance changes. Each Season will have its own theme that will be reflected in the Seasonal Questline, Battle Pass rewards, and Cash Shop cosmetics. Diablo 4 Official Post-Launch Blog Diablo 4 Developer Update Live Stream Before Diablo 4 launched in early June, the Diablo team held a Development Update Livestream where they discussed what a Season in Diablo 4 means and what kinds of new content players can expect to experience along with these new Seasons. During this Developer Update Livestream, the team focused on Seasons, the Battle Pass, and the Cash Shop. With all of the recent controversy surrounding the Seasonal reset of Diablo 4, we'd like to highlight some of the features coming to Diablo 4 as Seasonal content. So, what is significant about Seasons in Diablo 4? Seasons will be three months long, and there will be four seasons per year. In order to participate in a Diablo 4 Season, players will be required to create a new Seasonal character. All previous characters will still be playable on the Eternal Realm, where they will keep all of their previously earned progress. Seasons will add the following content:
