This week continues to get more interesting regarding Naomi, as recent reports indicate that her contract with WWE may be ending soon. She's been working in a tag team with Sasha Banks, and the duo has been champions since WrestleMania 38. That victory was an emotional one, but recent events make Naomi's standing and future with the company somewhat foggy.
Shortly after the May 16th episode of Monday Nigth Raw went on air, reports began to circulate that Naomi and Banks had walked out on the show. They were unhappy with creative for the night's main event—a main event that Naomi had been booked to win—and the direction of the women's tag team division in general. This apparently led to them walking into WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ office with suitcases in hand, where they placed their tag titles on his desk and left Raw.

As if there wasn't enough noise concerning Naomi's WWE status, a report has surfaced suggesting that her contract with the company will be up soon. Dave Meltzer was on Wrestling Observer Radio recently and said that «I guess it’s expiring soon,» when speaking about her current deal with WWE. The insider went on to talk about how the walkout could impact Naomi's ability to haggle for a raise like other talents have lately, saying that "(t)his probably won’t help her cause in negotiation... If you don’t perform, whether you’re injured or just whatever, you walk out for a while, that does freeze your contract, and if you don’t come back, they can freeze it in theory forever."
