Bungie confirms the popular Necrotic Grip set of Warlock Exotic gauntlets has been temporarily disabled in all Destiny 2 raids due to an ongoing issue. Destiny 2 players will not be able to use Necrotic Grip in the Lightfall expansion's new Root of Nightmares raid as Bungie investigates potential causes for a bug involving the gauntlets' unique ability.
The Root of Nightmares raid recently launched in Destiny 2, giving players another challenge after completing the Lightfall Legendary campaign. Players who complete the new raid before March 21 may purchase an exclusive Root of Nightmares raid jacket through Bungie Rewards. However, Warlocks must go into the raid without the Necrotic Grip Exotic gauntlets since an issue provides an unfair advantage to the player in high-level content.

The official Bungie Help Twitter account announced Necrotic Grip Warlock Exotic gauntlets are disabled in all raids for the foreseeable future in Destiny 2 due to an issue discovered by the development team. Players may continue to use Necrotic Grips in Destiny 2's strikes, dungeons, and seasonal content, but raids are out of the question until the issue is fixed. Bungie did not provide further details on the issue involving the Warlock gauntlets, but the active player community has already discovered the problem after using Edge of Intent and Vexcalibur glaives.
