Destiny 2's Season of the Haunted is launching today, and after a long radio silence on Bungie's part, the company has finally released the official trailer and plenty of bits of information about what's coming with the new update. Season of the Haunted is featuring an element rework in the form of Solar 3.0, which saw a lot of explosive action in the early trailer, but Bungie didn't elaborate on all the details about the various abilities until now.
A new Destiny 2 developer commentary video surfaced very recently, and it fully describes the ideas and the goals of the Solar 3.0 update. As with Void subclasses, Bungie wanted to achieve a very specific power fantasy with the Solar 3.0 rework, and it's all about allowing players to become ultimate fire gods of explosions and destruction. In the game, this is achieved with a new set of Aspects and Fragments that allow all classes to toy with the newly-reworked system by picking their favorite ones and making their own devastating combos.

Bungie's commentary focuses on why Titans have to feel like the ones that can achieve the highest raw power of all classes, and the new ground-pound ability called Consecration they have with the Solar 3.0 update speaks for itself. The Sunbreaker's Roaring Flames trait is also becoming an Aspect that provides two Fragment slots and allows Titans to increase their damage, whereas another Aspect is going to be Sol Invictus, which creates Sunspots and provides benefits while entering them.
