RuPaul's Drag Race: Why Jinkx Monsoon Didn't Learn To Sew Before Return
When RuPaul's Drag Race: All-Stars 7 began streaming on Friday, May 20, it showed a whole new level of the game, but one of its queens, Jinkx Monsoon, didn't take her sewing to the next level. This season is like no other, as it features only winners, who are competing to be crowned the queen of all queens, and to receive a cash prize of $200,000. While the AS7 competitors are past winners, Jinkx failed to master one skill that is needed on the show (sewing), and fans want to know why.
When RuPaul's Drag Race season 5 aired in the winter/spring 0f 2013, fans saw the then-24-year-old Jinkx beat out 13 other queens to become America's Next Drag Superstar. So, when she was announced as a contestant on the all winners season, almost a decade after her original win, fans were excited to see her return. However, despite having almost ten years to learn, Jinkx never honed her sewing skills, and those skills are something that is very important when it comes to competing on the show.

According to Digitalspy, when it comes to not learning how to sew upon her AS7 return, Jinkx stated, "I didn't know I'd be going back on All Stars, so I didn't put work into learning new sewing skills because over the years I've worked with so many amazing designers, most notably The Lady Hyde, who designs about 90 percent of what I wear." However, she insisted that despite not learning how to sew, she has learned a lot since her first time the Drag Race spinoff.
