Mystery City, which follows a group of new Protectors racing to find an important recipe, premiered on the streaming platform in January 2020, featuring Sanders reprising the role of Leo, a character he had originated in a 2019 episode of Just Add Magic alongside his co-stars Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Zoe, and Jenna Qureshi as Ish. He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for the performance in 2021.
