On top of the new Neomuna area, new sub-classes for Warlock, Hunter and Titan and the new Root of the Nightmares raid, the 7.0.0.1 update comes with several quality-of-life updates and gameplay adjustments.
Firstly, difficulty has seen a significant overhaul with Adept removed altogether and Hero, Legend and Master receiving modified activity levels.
A Guardian Ranks system will be introduced offering a more guided experience that will greatly benefit new players, while the Triumph tab has been reworked to include the new Commendations system and seasonal challenges.
Armour is no longer linked to energy types meaning you're no longer limited when selecting armour mods, while the mods themselves have had a complete revamp in terms of costs and effects.
The usual weapon nerfs and buffs are also here, with machine guns and grenade launchers of all things getting a stat increase while linear fusion rifles see a downgrade. The Resonant Elements currency is also now absent in crafting, and Deepsight objectives on weapons have also been removed unless there is a pattern for it.
