Matt Murdock first met Elektra Natchios at Columbia University during Frank Miller's Daredevil run. Even though Elektra was under orders by the Hand to recruit Matt to their group of assassins, she fell in love with him and abandoned her mission. When she returned to Hell's Kitchen after Matt was already Daredevil for quite some time, Matt trusted her with his secret identity. They consistently team up in modern comics and even pick up their romantic relationship from time to time. Daredevil's radar senses, hand-to-hand skills, and acrobatics combined with Elektra's assassin instincts, mixed martial arts, and enhanced reflexes make them a dangerous force. However, they sometimes have difficulty working together due to Daredevil's no-killing rule. Elektra regularly lies to Matt too, which causes trust issues for Marvel's vigilante couple.
