Daredevil's New Era Promises Radical Change for Marvel's Best Series

Marvel Comics has revealed the next chapter for Daredevil, as a bold new era will begin (and continue) with Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto continuing working on the title. On Tuesday, Marvel revealed the next era of Daredevil would feature an explosive new beginning for the hero, as the series will pick up directly following the shocking events of the currentDevil's Reign miniseries. For those worried Elektra won't be part of the adventure, the solicit seems to confirm she'll continue as Marvel's other Daredevil.

Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto's work on Daredevil led to one of the best ongoing stories the character has ever had. In their series, Matt Murdock has struggled with what it means to be a hero, ultimately turning himself into police after accidentally killing a thug. As Marvel's original Daredevil sat in prison, Elektra took over the mantle, promising Murdock she would turn over a new leaf as a hero in the role. With a fantastic costume, Elektra's Daredevil defended Hell's Kitchen in Murdock's absence. The pair are teaming up in the current Devil's Reign event, which sees the Kingpin unleashing his most significant attack on heroes to date.
