Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Can’t be Pre-loaded on PS5
It’s been a big few days for Cyberpunk 2077, with Update 2.0 having launched last week, significantly improving the base experience’s quality in more ways than one- and of course, there’s still plenty to look forward to. The open world action RPG’s first and only expansion, Phantom Liberty, launches tomorrow- but ahead of its launch, PlayStation 5 players won’t be able to prepare for it like those on other platforms will.
Taking to Twitter, via its official support page, CD Projekt RED has confirmed that pre-loading for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty isn’t available on PS5, unlike on other platforms. The only way to download the expansion will be to claim it from the PlayStation Store once it has unlocked at midnight local time later today. “We apologize for the lack of a pre-load,” the developer writes.
Meanwhile, CDPR warns that the Quadra pre-order bonus may also not be available to PlayStation players at first after launch, though the developer says it’s “working to ensure players receive their bonus as soon as possible.”
