Mortal Kombat 1’s Player 1 advantage issues came to light recently, with developer NetherRealm Studios confirming promptly afterwards that the issue would be addressed with the game’s upcoming patch. And though it’s arrived a little later than expected due to unexpected server issues last week, that patch is out now.
As promised, it fixes the bug that would keep Player 2 at a disadvantage for combos, along with other issues, like some of Striker and Sektor’s attacks being unbreakable, localization errors, and more. Meanwhile, several balancing adjustments have also been made for a number of characters, both in the main and Kameo rosters. You can view the full patch notes below.
Interestingly enough, the patch is only available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and not for the Nintendo Switch. Mortal Kombat 1’s Switch version has received widespread (and heavy) criticism since its release, and director Ed Boon has said that it will be getting updates and fixes in the future.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Read our review of the game through here.
