Sony has announced that, starting on the 5th December, select Crunchyroll shows will be added to Sony Pictures Core — the movie-based service that PS Plus Premium subscribers have access to. For those who might now know, signing up to the most expensive PS Plus tier gets you access to a fairly sizeable catalog of films at no extra cost — and now some Crunchyroll anime is being thrown into the deal.
However, there is a catch in that this perk won't be available to everyone right away. At launch, only subscribers in U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand will be able to check out the added Crunchyroll stuff. Sony says «additional regions will launch at a later date».
We don't yet know which shows will be added to the Sony Pictures Core catalog, but the official announcement highlights Eighty Six, Iruma-kun, and To Your Eternity.
Will you be making use of this PS Plus Premium perk? Would you like to see Crunchyroll as a whole be added to PS Plus at some point? Weigh up this new deal in the comments section below.

I think if there's a lot of interest/viewers for these select shows then yeah I can see them adding the whole catalogue at some point or premium get free membership to Crunchyroll seperately. I'm just glad to see Anime slowly becoming more and more mainstream and getting more recognition.
