Across The Spider-Verse came out during the summer of last year, and upon its release,it earned $16 million in Thursday previews which made it the second-best start in animated in film history. Though the movie was well-received, it's also important to mention that there were reports that working conditions for the film were chaotic.
Roughly 100 artists had left the project due to constant changes being made. It was common for the crew to work 11-hour days seven days a week to ensure the movie was ready for release.
