Actor Chris Evans has finally bid adieu to his iPhone 6s and upgraded to a new smartphone. Originally launched in 2015, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus were discontinued with the announcement of the iPhone XS and XS Max in 2018. The device dons the older iPhone design with thick bezels and a physical Home button that Apple abandoned with the iPhone X in 2017. The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have also reached their end-of-life (EoL) in terms of software support, with Apple recently confirming that neither of these two devices will receive the iOS 16 update.
Chris Evans is probably best known for his portrayal of Captain America in several MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movies including Avengers: Endgame in 2019. Evans started his Marvel career by playing the Human Torch in 2005's Fantastic Four and its 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. This year, Evans also voiced the titular character Buzz Lightyear in the Disney/Pixar animated movie Lightyear. He is one of the most-recognizable actors in Hollywood, which makes it even more surprising that Evans was using a smartphone released seven years ago.
