Actor Chris Evans praises Hayley Atwell for her performance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Evans has long been associated with Marvel, giving life to one of its most recognizable characters: Captain America. His Steve Rogers first appeared in 2011 and has since been featured in 11 movies (including post-credit scenes). The Captain American title and storyline have been explored with several different characters in the comics, with familiar faces like Clint Barton and Bucky Barnes each taking up the shield at some point. Also included in this list are Sam Wilson and Peggy Carter. Peggy Carter was introduced on-screen as Captain Carter in the first episode of Marvel’s What If…? The episode sees Peggy Carter become the world's first super soldier in place of Steve Rogers after he is badly injured. Following this, Atwell appeared in the MCU for Captain Carter’s live-action debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
