New DLC for Amazon's New World has brought the MMO back to the Steam Top Ten.
The Rise of the Angry Earth expansion came out on October 3rd and charted in sixth place in its first week. This DLC introduces new content, including rideable mounts, which feature prominently in marketing. The base game came in at second place, with revenue being driven by the new expansion and a 60 per cent price cut.
First place once again goes to Counter-Strike 2, while new football title EA Sports FCV 24 rose up one position to third week-on-week. Call of Duty shoots up four places to No.4, likely due to hype for the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 and its Zombie mode, which was shown off on Thursday October 5th.
Baldur's Gate 3 hangs steady in fifth place, while fellow RPG Cyberpunk 2077 drops from No.2 to No.7 week-on-week as its discount comes to an end. Expansion Phantom Liberty experienced a similar drop, falling from third to tenth to round off the charts.
Elden Ring returns to the Top Ten in eighth place thanks to a 34 per cent price cut, charting ahead of EA's free-to-play battle royale romp Apex Legends.
