The return of Cad Bane in The Book of Boba Fett paves the way for a reunion between the bounty hunter in the hat and Boba, but it also sets up another rematch that is even more exciting. Fennec Shand, Boba Fett's right-hand person, faced Star Wars bounty hunter Cad Bane (played by Corey Burton in The Book of Boba Fett) earlier in her career and is one of the few in Boba's group who will know what they are dealing with. In an episode filled with surprising cameos, Bane managed to steal the spotlight and is sure to do it again in the season finale.
The Book of Boba Fett episode 6 saw fan-favorite bounty hunter Cad Bane make his live-action debut nearly twenty years after appearing for the first time in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Before Book Boba Fett, the character was revisited in the animated series The Bad Batch. Bane's appearance in the post-Return of the Jedi era finally answers the question of whether or not the character was still alive in the new canon.

While much is being said about the likely rematch between Cad Bane and Boba Fett, the second-in-command to Tatooine's newest crime lord also has a history with the gunslinger. Both high-profile bounty hunters, Fennec and Bane faced off for the bounty on Omega in Bad Batch. Although Cad Bane was already an established professional and his opponent was still a rookie, Fennec managed to go toe-to-toe with him and came close to killing Bane.
