Warning! Spoilers ahead for The Book of Boba Fett episode 7!
While Boba Fett thankfully returned as a prominent character with The Book of Boba Fett's finale, the former bounty hunter may have reclaimed his series too late. Following two prior episodes where the titular crime lord was not featured (or only briefly seen), Boba Fett was pushed to the background while the series shifted its focus to other characters such as the Mandalorian Din Djarin and the child Grogu (and more legacy characters). That being said, The Book of Boba Fett finale brought Fett front and center, though many would argue he shouldn't have lost the show in the first place.
In The Book of Boba Fett episode 7, the Pyke criminal syndicate and their hired hunter Cad Bane went to war with Fett and his allies for control of Mos Espa and Tatooine's spice trade. Beyond Fennec Shand, Din Djarin, and Black Krrsantan, Boba found new allies with the Mod speeder gang as well as the people of Freetown (formerly known as Mos Pelgo). What followed was a major battle that saw fan expectations being met when it came to Fett as he defended his new title as Tatooine's new daimyo. However, many viewers may have wondered why they hadn't seen Fett in action at this level in earlier episodes, rather than leaving him in the dust with The Book of Boba Fett episodes 5 and 6.
