Although 's main story centers around the player reaching their peak racing performance and competing in the Sky Cup Grand Prix — Bricklandia's premier competition — it's much more than a typical kart racer. Spanning across several different distinct biomes, there are many other activities for players to discover as well.
As players explore the areas has to offer, traveling to locales like the desert of Big Butte and the spooky Hauntsborough, they'll find a myriad of creative minigames and side quests that dot each map alongside their racing goals. They'll also be able to speed around 's open world in highly-customizable vehicles, with a robust garage mechanic that lets drivers both modify existing cars and boats or build them brick-by-brick from scratch. The game can be experienced alone, in couch co-op, or via an online multiplayer system.
