The cast of DC’s upcoming is growing, as (also known as Rebecca Marie Gomez) will be joining the cast in a major role for the highly anticipated film.
Becky G announced her casting on Instagram, confirming that she would be playing the voice of Khaji-Da, an entity that controls the Scarab that bonds with Jaime Reyes in the film. Becky G is more well-known for her musical career, having created popular hits like “Mayores” and “Mamiii.” In the world of acting, Becky G also played Trini, the Yellow Ranger, in the 2017 live-action Power Rangers remake film. She also starred in the hit musical drama series Empire.

The Blue Beetle movie is directed by Angel Manuel Soto (Charm City Kings) from a screenplay adapted by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer (Miss Bala). Cobra Kai breakout Xolo Maridueña stars in Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Films’ first stand-alone Latino-led superhero movie as Mexican American teenager, Jaime Reyes.
