DC's Blue Beetle Movie Is Almost Done Filming, Confirms New BTS Image
Blue Beetle star Raoul Trujillo confirms that the movie is almost done filming. Blue Beetle/Jaime Reyes is the first Latinx superhero to get a solo movie in the DCEU, with Cobra Kai's Xolo Maridueña playing the title character. Initially, Blue Beetle was originally slated for release on HBO Max, but Warner Bros. has since commissioned the movie for a theatrical release in August 2023. Plot details for Blue Beetle are currently unclear, but the movie features a stacked cast of some top Hollywood talents, including Bruna Marquezine, Belissa Escobedo, George Lopez, Adriana Barraza, Elpidia Carrillo, Damián Alcázar, and Trujillo, who is playing Carapax the Indestructible Man. Filming for Blue Beetle has been underway in Atlanta, El Paso, and Puerto Rico since May, although now it seems that production is drawing to a close.
