Almost ten years after its original release, Bloodborne is finally getting some impressive visual improvements thanks to the ShadPS4 emulator and the hard work of modders.
Well-known Souls series modder fromsoftserve, shared a video earlier this week showcasing the game with full dynamic shadows, which improve the visuals quite a bit. Obviously, their inclusion impacts performance greatly in certain scenarios, but as emulation improves, so should performance with similar mods aiming to enhance visuals.
The modder also shared an additional Bloodborne gameplay video showcasing how the game runs on the ShadPS4 emulator currently and how far it is possible to go into the main campaign before it becomes unplayable. When the game runs well, emulation is extremely accurate, and with the rapid pace the ShadPS4 developers have been improving the emulator, it really won't take much longer to have the game fully playable on PC.
Full dynamic shadows aren't the only improvement fromsoftserve is working on for Bloodborne. The modder already released the first version of an Upgraded Texture Pack which will eventually enhance all of the game's textures.
More information on the ShadPS4 emulator that is making it possible to play Bloodborne on PC can be found on its official website.
