Bloodborne fans are a different breed. So hungry for new content, fans have taken upon themselves to create it all on their own, starting with Bloodborne PSX, a fan demake of the original game released in 2022.
Last year, those same developers announced a new project: Bloodborne Kart. At a basic level, Bloodborne Kart is exactly what it sounds like, a kart racer version of Bloodborne. The game features a full single player campaign, local splitscreen, as well as competitive battles across 16 tracks. Players can race as one of 12 playable characters, including Lady Maria, and the game even integrates boss fights into the vehicular madness.
The game's developers recently dropped a new trailer for the game and announced that Bloodborne Kart will be available for all to play on January 31, 2024.
Neither Bloodborne PSX nor Bloodborne Kart have been given a blessing by Bloodborne developer From Software, so the possibility of a cease-and-desist remains real, but hopefully fans can enjoy the bizzare mashup without issue when it releases next year.
With Elden Ring and Armored Core VI now released, perhaps it's time for From Software to return to Yharnam with a sequel to the 2015 smash hit action RPG.
