Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is one of the biggest successes of the year, but it launched missing a few features present in Insomniac's two prior Spidey games. The biggest omission was New Game Plus, but Insomniac assured fans it would come in an update to the game before the end of the year. Unfortunately, the developer won't be able to hit that deadline, as it posted this update on social media yesterday.
In case the image doesn't load, the text reads as follows:
As the statement mentions, the update will also include other returning features, like the ability to replay missions and change the time of day, along with the option to swap symbiote tendril colors. It also mentions that a «feature-complete» list will be available closer to the update's release, which implies there are more features Insomniac has yet to mention. Whatever the case, we'll learn more in early 2024.
