Trouble started brewing before release when Cyanide Studio announced that Blood Bowl 3 will contain a battle pass which they named Blood Pass. The 50-tier battle pass itself was not the source of the upset, but rather the fact there would be a free and paid tier within it. Fans have heavily criticized the developer for bringing monetization into Blood Bowl 3 and wished for its removal. However, the request clearly fell on dead ears, as the battle pass system remained. To make matters worse, there were already server connectivity issues during the game's early access period, causing further frustration with Blood Bowl 3. But as it turns out, the state of the game after release made fans' frustration even worse.
