The beginning of Black Clover's final saga just started by officially ending the manga's first romance — the one between Asta and his beloved Sister Lily.
While there's something definitely bittersweet about Asta no longer pursuing Sister Lily like a dog with a bone, there was never any hope of it ever transpiring. If such a travesty ever did transpire, then all hell would have definitely let loose upon mangaka Yūki Tabata, as it should. The problem with Asta's obsession and persistence in the matter was that it went against everything Sister Lily believed in and consequently what she had dedicated her entire life towards. While there has always been something innocent about Asta's affections, it has been his total lack of understanding for her own feelings and what marriage would do to her that made this Black Clover romance one of shonen manga's worst, even if them getting hitched would have made Asta happy.

Luckily, the long-awaited 332nd chapter of Black Clover that ends its three-month hiatus has completely shut the door on such a union from ever happening. One year and three months after the events of chapter 331, Sister Lily has come to see Asta's commencement ceremony where he receives the title of senior magic knight, first class. At the end of the proceeding, Asta wastes no time in asking Sister Lily to marry him again.
