Samsung's next Unpacked event isn't happening until Aug. 10, but official images of its latest Galaxy Z foldables have leaked, showing every angle of the new devices.
The images are courtesy of well-known leaker Evan Blass and published on 91mobiles(Opens in a new window). We get to see the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 in great detail, which confirms that not much has changed from last year's 3-series models. Blass refers to them as "iterative improvements on their predecessors" and we should expect only subtle detail changes.
Here's just one example of the images Samsung let slip through the net:
What is confirmed by these images, however, is the color choices on offer. The Z Fold4 will be offered in black, beige, or gray case colors, while the Z Flip4 has black, gold, blue, and purple color options.
The subtle changes to the overall design could be a hint as to what Samsung's real focus is with these devices: lower pricing. Samsung's mobile head, TM Roh, hinted earlier this month that the company's strategy this year is a "mainstream moment" for foldables, which we're hoping means they'll be significantly cheaper. We'll know for sure on Aug. 10.
