New Batgirl set photos feature a flashback involving J.K. Simmons' Jim Gordon and his family, including a young Barbara Gordon. The upcoming DC Extended Universe movie has been in development since 2017, but it didn't really come together until a few years ago. Warner Bros. eventually found their Batgirl star in Leslie Grace after her performance in In the Heights. She'll be surrounded by a great cast, which includes Michael Keaton's Batman, Brendan Fraser's Firefly, and J.K. Simmons as her father Jim Gordon — who returns after playing the character in Justice League.
Filming began for Batgirl in early 2022, and the result has been plenty of set photos that provide various looks at the movie. Leslie Grace's Barbara Gordon has been prominently featured in the various images, as Warner Bros. and DC Films even released an official photo of her in the Batgirl costume to get ahead of the leaks. Other set photos have provided the first glimpse at Brendan Fraser's villain character and teased Batman used to have a Robin. All of these Batgirl set photos have helped give fans a decent idea of what Christina Hodson's script includes and how directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are bringing the movie to life.

The latest look at Batgirl's production has now provided the first look at J.K. Simmons on set as Jim Gordon. The images surfaced on Instagram from labatcuevadegeorge, although the photos are credited to McGowan and Backgrid in the copyright. Simmons appears to be at the center of this scene, which looks to be a flashback for the Gordon family.
