Companions and their romance arcs have become a defining feature of , but one infamous scene in particular has been triggered by an astounding number of players. Halsin is one of 's romance options, a druid who joins the adventure in Act One, but doesn't become a member of the party proper until Act Two. His Wild Shape ability sees him turning into a bear most often, at least in cutscenes, and his inability to control it at certain times has lead to his romance arc becoming notorious, but nonetheless popular.
In celebration of the game's first anniversary, the official X (formerly Twitter) account shared a variety of interesting statistics, with some centered around romances. According to the tweet's infographic, 658,000 players had sex with Halsin, and 30% of them – a whopping 197,400 people – opted to do the deed with Halsin's bear form.
The remaining 70% of players who romanced Halsin had him turn back into his wood elf form for the scene. The bear scene in question was discovered shortly after came out and went viral. 's colorful cast of characters and the ability to romance them have certainly contributed to its success, and Halsin's bear scene remains one of the most notorious in the game.

Another one, highlighted by the same tweet, involves the Emperor, a mind flayer and the true identity of the Dream Guardian, who guides Tav from the beginning of the game. According to Larian Studios' data, 1.1 million players slept with the Emperor, nearly half a million more than those that chose Halsin. 37% of those players, roughly 407,000 people, opted for the Emperor's mind flayer form over the Dream Guardian appearance.
