The first trailer for, a new Lionsgate horror movie, has been released.
Bagman is a new horror flick starring Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Peaky Blinders) that is about a mythical, evil creature that kidnaps children. The film will be released just in time for Halloween as it arrives in United States theaters this coming September.

“In the dark horror film Bagman, a family finds themselves ensnared in a nightmare as they are hunted by a malevolent, mythical creature,” the official synopsis reads. For centuries and across cultures, parents have warned their children of the legendary Bagman, who snatches innocent children and stuffs them into his vile, rotting bag—never to be seen again. Patrick McKee (Sam Claflin) narrowly escaped such an encounter as a boy, which left him with lasting scars throughout his adulthood. Now, Patrick’s childhood tormentor has returned, threatening the safety of his wife Karina (Antonia Thomas) and son Jake (Caréll Rhoden). Lionsgate presents, in association with Media Capital Technologies, a Temple Hill production.”
Bagman is directed by Colm McCarthy, who previously made 2010’s Outcast and 2016’s The Girl with All the Gifts, the latter of which starred Gemma Arterton, Paddy Considine, and Glenn Close. The script was written by John Hulme, while Marty Bowen, John Fischer, Wyck Godfrey, and Isaac Klausner served as producers on the film.
Along with Caflin, Thomas, and Rhoden, the cast of Bagman includes Sharon D Clarke, Steven Cree, William Hope, Adelle Leonce, Peter McDonald, Henry Pettigrew, and Will Davis.
Bagman will be released in United States theaters on September 20, 2024, from Lionsgate. The movie has not yet received an official Motion Picture Association (MPA) film rating.
