The Azure Vault has proven to have tons of tough boss fights, many of them scaling a lot harder on Tyrannical as abilities and frontal become lethal the higher the keystone level becomes. In today's article, we are going to analyse the Azureblade, fight, what makes it so dangerous and how can we defeat it in the best possible way to gain a few extra seconds on the overall dungeon timer.
Azure Blade Boss Analysis Boss Fight TimelineThe boss fight consists of one one Major Phase and a «Sub-phase» that happens once Azureblade depletes its mana: The Major Phase stays active for as long as the remaining mana of Azureblade. During this phase, you will have to:
Side-step the incoming — Ancient Orb (this ability will turn lethal once you start getting into higher keys. Kill several Draconic Images and interrupt their Illusionary Bolt (all crowd-control effects work on them such as — sleep/stun/grip/immobilize, etc.). Be aware, that once you kill the Draconic Image you need to watch your feet for Unstable Magic. And last but not least, never stay in front of the boss during Arcane Cleave frontal cleave. This heavily depends on your tank to face it away from your team, but you should always watch out for it.The «Sub-phase» begins once the boss depletes all of its mana and starts walking back to the middle of the room channelling Overwhelming Energy until all 4 Draconic Illusions are dead.
In this phase, all you have to do is to side-step the incoming Arcane spheres while damaging the Draconic Illusions. Side-step the incoming Unstable Magic once a Draconic Illusion has been defeated.
