Remaking a beloved game from a series that's long since lost its way can't be easy, but the day of Silent Hill 2's revival is upon us. Many were sceptical of this project given Konami's treatment of its once classic franchise, but the remake has actually gone down incredibly well.
«Bloober Team has faithfully and respectfully recreated one of the survival horror genre’s all-time greats, modernising Silent Hill 2 in all the right ways,» we beamed in our Silent Hill 2 PS5 review. «There were concerns in the lead-up to release, but Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself: a spectacular experience that once again represents survival horror at its best,» we concluded, awarding the remake an 'excellent' 9/10.

Just got home from GameStop with my copy!
I'm by no means a horror fan but I'm glad I played the first 2 silent hill games just to have experienced them. I wouldn't mind playing the remake but I can happily wait a long time, like 2 years down the line when it's cheap/on a subscription.
What I'd really like, is a remake of The Suffering.
